The Power of Vibrational Frequencies
I know about sound healing, I know about energy, I know about vibrational frequencies ….
But a few weeks ago, I had the most amazing experience with some meditation music that made me re-think what I actually know about sound frequencies. I still have a hard time trusting my experience and that being the end of it so… down the rabbit hole of more reading and research I went!
But first… my experience! I have always been drawn to meditation music that is not only pleasant to listen to but also has binaural beats or delta/theta brain waves. Even if those beats or waves are almost inaudible, their rhythm is always there, and I find it somewhat hypnotic. But what happened with this particular piece of random music I chose (or was it random??? Hmmmm… I am beginning to learn that there really isn’t anything that is random!) literally made my whole body physically hum, thrum and drum!
It was actually so physically intense that I had to turn it off after 20 minutes. I wanted to experience more but it kind of scared the crap out of me at the same time! I convinced myself it must have been a one-off kind of thing, so I listened to it again for the next 2 nights but then had to put it away for a couple of weeks as it had the same bizarre effect on me as the first night.
Knowing… that with any valuable energy tool we use for healing, sometimes we get more value out of said tool if it is what our body needs in that moment or there may be external things that are influencing the effects being experienced, (like the moon cycle or your astrological chart, for example) so I tucked this particular piece of music away for another time.
I did some reading but really didn’t find any new information that I didn’t already know about vibrational frequencies or the benefits of sound therapy. For informational purposes for those reading that don’t know the benefit of certain frequencies on our mind, body and spirit, here is a list of the Solfeggio frequencies that can help aid healing and bring the body back into balance:
174 Hz – Relieving Pain and Stress - the 174 Hz frequency can relieve pain, stress and enhance concentration. It’s been said to provide a sense of security to the organs in the body and is particularly beneficial when it comes to pain in the lower back, feet and legs.
285 Hz – Healing Tissue and Organs - the 285Hz frequency can help treat minor
injuries and wounds in the body. It’s said to help fix damage to the organs and repair cells.
396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear - for those struggling with loss, 396 Hz is the most beneficial. This frequency can help eliminate feelings of guilt, fear and grief.
417 Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change - the 417 Hz frequency marks the start of new beginnings, removing negative energy from the body, home and office.
528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles - the 528 Hz frequency is one of the most powerful frequencies, with a profound effect on our wellbeing. This frequency can activate imagination, intention and intuition. It’s said to be the ‘love frequency’ and it can awaken spirituality.
639 Hz - Connecting Relationships - the 639 Hz frequency can promote connection and repair turbulent relationships with friends, family and the community around you.
741 Hz – Awakening Intuition - for intuition and problem solving, 741 Hz can be deeply beneficial. It can help provide mental clarity and can also be used to help those struggling with chronic pain.
852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order - 852 Hz is said to rebalance your spirituality. It’ll help you connect to the universe and your own consciousness on a deeper level.
963 Hz – Divine Consciousness or Enlightenment - the highest of the 9 main frequencies, 963 Hz is known as the ‘frequency of the Gods’. It can create room for oneness and unity with the spiritual world.
So, I waited for a couple of weeks and tried this meditation music again … I still had the same experience as before but didn’t feel as freaked out, so I tried to settle into it and just see where it took me. The first thing I noticed was that it actually felt like my ole green grinch heart had grown by two sizes! My heart was not racing but had a very defined beat that sounded like a beautiful 4-part harmonious barbershop quartet and literally… just felt huge inside my chest.
My whole body was still humming and thrumming right to my core (even though the music did not have a strong binaural beat) but I relaxed into the feeling. What I felt next should have had me hitting the stop button, but I think as an A type personality gal who needs a certain amount of control, I was more prepared for the possibility of ‘the weird and wonderful’ so I wasn’t as alarmed as I probably normally would have been.
I felt a sensation of the peripheral parts of my body floating and hovering just above my physical form… like they were detached but still attached at the same time. I closed my eyes and was catapulted into a starry sky universe and the stars appeared to be coming right at me at high speed but surprisingly never hit me. I also saw some other blazes like shooting stars or comets and then an eruption of different hues of purple and pink swirls took over the picture space in my mind. It wasn’t really relaxing at first… there was just too much going on! This continued for a while and as I settled into the experience even more, I must have just floated away as I woke up several hours later.
The meditation music was simply entitled “Higher Vibration – Raise Your Frequency (963 Hz, 528 Hz)”. Well, I think it is clear it did exactly that! I am still unclear if the music had frequencies that included both 528 and 963 Hz or if was a range of frequencies between 528 and 963 Hz. If you look back up at the list of what each frequency is known to assist with … it’s no wonder my experience was out of this world awesome!
Days later I was still walking around in a bit of a daze and somewhat questioning the experience. I am working really hard to just enjoy the ride and not analyse it too much. It’s a work in progress…
I do think this is a very personal experience and not everyone is going to have the same thing happen but if you are curious enough to want to listen to the piece of music that rocked my energetic world… it was on the free app ‘Insight Timer’ under the ‘Sleep’ tab and it was by Magnetic Minds (I mentioned the title above) and the image is the one on the photo banner of this blog so that should make it easy to search for and locate.
I also found Magnetic Minds on YouTube and the meditation that has the same title sounds just a little bit different than the one on the Insight Timer. But I plugged into some other vibrational frequency meditation music selections they have on their YouTube channel, and they are definitely worth some exploring – so if you are interested in looking into that, the link to their YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@magnetic_minds
Happy meditating and floating!
Much Love
