Astrology and YOU...the MAGIC of your Emotions

You may remember that last week I shared some astrological correlations between your beautiful physical body and each of the 12 signs of the zodiac. This week, as promised, I would like to talk about these same 12 astrological signs and how they relate to your emotions!

For many of us, we may know our sun sign…. the sign related to the month/day of our birth and the sign we refer to when checking our horoscopes. My astrology teacher taught me that our Sun sign is linked to our identity, and it is what we spend our entire lifetime discovering and becoming ♥ 

Again, as I mentioned last week, another point on our birth chart that I believe is equally as important as our Sun sign is our Moon sign. My astrology teacher taught us that our moon sign is what we innately are as it is linked to our emotions.

The moon’s placement and the sign it was in at the moment of your birth provides insight into why and what feelings you experience easier or more quickly than others as you journey through all the aspects of your life.

What do I mean by this??

Well, have you ever wondered why some people wear their hearts on their sleeves, while others seem to keep their feelings locked behind a quiet, composed exterior? Or, why you might cry during a sad commercial, while your best friend shrugs it off with a joke? The answers might be written in the stars. (March 21 to April 19)

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Pause and observe your thoughts before you respond… take three deep breaths before speaking or acting.

Taurus ~ Calm & Comfort-Seeking

(April 20 to May 20)

♉ Taurus is an earth sign and seeks stability and often keeps emotions grounded.

♉ Can seem unshaken but are actually deeply sensitive.

♉Crave emotional security and may resist change, even when their heart says otherwise.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Create a soothing self-care ritual… Light a candle, sip your favourite tea, or journal in a cozy space to process emotions without resistance.

🧡 Allow the comfort of your environment support your feelings rather than avoiding them.


Gemini ~ Curious & Detached

(May 21 to June 20)

♊ Gemini intellectualizes feelings… this air sign prefers to talk through emotions rather than sit with them.

♊ Appear to bounce back from emotional stress or upheaval as something it FEELS easier to emotionally avoid rather than lean into the emotions that are showing up.

♊ Thrive when given safe spaces to name their feelings without judgment.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Practice presence… Set a timer for five minutes and simply sit with whatever you are feeling; no talking, no fixing, just observing your thoughts and the emotions associated with these thoughts

🧡 Allow yourself to listen and hear your inner voice without needing to explain or analyze.


Cancer ~ Nurturing & Vulnerable

(June 21 to July 22)

♋ Ruled by the Moon and a water sign… Cancer is the emotional heart of the zodiac.

♋ Their feelings ebb and flow like the tides as they are deeply empathetic and can become overwhelmed if they don’t set emotional boundaries.

♋ Emotional safety is everything for this sign.

Mindful tip:

Leo ~ Expressive & Sensitive

(July 23 to August 22)

♌ Want to be seen and appreciated, and emotional neglect wounds them deeply.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Affirm your own worth… don’t wait for validation, offer it to yourself first and write or speak daily affirmations like: “I am seen. I am worthy. I am enough.”

🧡 Find creative outlets that are enjoyable (like cooking, painting, dancing or crafting) as creative outlets help Leos heal and shine.


Virgo ~ Reserved & Reflective

(August 23 to September 22)

♍ Virgo is an earth sign and feels deeply but won’t always show it.

♍ Filter emotions through analysis and service, but may struggle to give themselves the same care they offer others.

♍ Emotional healing often begins with self-compassion and surrendering perfectionism.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Practice imperfect journaling… write freely about how you feel with permission given to yourself to be messy, raw, and unedited.

🧡 Surrendering perfectionism will release inner tension and remind you that emotions don’t need to be fixed… just felt.


Libra ~ Harmonious & Indecisive

(September 23 to October 22)

♎ Libra is an air sign and aims for emotional peace but can lose their own truth in the process.

♎ Often feeling what others feel can cause internal struggles with where and when to set boundaries.

♎ Learning to value their own emotional needs without guilt is key to Libra’s emotional balance.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Check in with your inner yes/no… when someone asks something of you, pause and ask: “Does this feel good to me?” and answer accordingly

🧡 Learning to honor your own emotional truth builds balance and confidence.


Scorpio ~ Intense & Transformational

(October 23 to November 21)

♏ Scorpio as a water sign experiences emotions like an underground river… deep, powerful, and often hidden.

♏ May rarely show vulnerability even though they feel everything intensely.

♏ Trust is essential for them to open up.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Give your emotions a safe container…  try breathwork, deep water soaks, or writing letters you never send.

🧡 No need to share everything… but DO let it out, as emotional growth will come through transformation and release.


Sagittarius ~ Optimistic & Avoidant

(November 22 to December 21)

♐ Sagittarius is a sparkly fire sign who prefers to look on the bright side and may run from emotional discomfort.

♐ They feel deeply but often seek adventure or humor to escape pain.

♐ Emotional maturity comes from learning to stay present with both joy and sorrow.

(December 22 to January 19)

♑ Capricorn is an earth sign and is the emotional rock of the zodiac… steady, responsible, and composed, although this can come at a cost

♑ Often chooses to bury emotions in order to stay functional.

♑ Being vulnerable and cared for is a radical act of self-love for Capricorn.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Schedule emotional rest… create space in your calendar just for you: no tasks, no productivity, just time to feel, breathe, or be still.

🧡 You don’t have to earn your rest… you must simply claim it!


Aquarius ~ Detached & Compassionate

(January 20 to February 18)

♒ Aquarius is an inquisitive air sign and feels for humanity but can struggle with one-on-one emotional intimacy.

♒ May intellectualize emotions or retreat into their minds.

♒ Even though Aquarius cares deeply about freedom and justice, it is emotional authenticity, not just logical action, that is your path to healing.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Ground your feelings in the body… use breathwork or gentle movement like yin yoga to bring awareness into your heart and out of your head.

🧡 Give your body permission to translate what your mind can’t always feel.


Pisces ~ Empathic & Absorbing

(February 19 ~ March 20)

♓ As a water sign, Pisces is the emotional sponge of the zodiac… they feel everything; often they feel too much.

♓ May confuse others' emotions for their own an choose to escape into fantasy where they may feel they have control over feelings and experiences

♓ Boundaries and creative expression help them navigate the emotional tides.

Mindful tip: 

🧡 Close the energetic day… at bedtime, imagine washing away emotional residue under a shower of white light. Say: “I release what is not mine. I call my energy back to me.”

🧡 At the start of each new day, create a practice of reminding yourself
