
Astrology & YOU... your amazing body
Over the next 2 weeks, I would like to talk about the 12 astrological signs of the zodiac and how they relate to your body and your mind… this week will start with a focus on the physical body!
For many of us, we know our sun sign…. the sign related to the month/day of our birth and the sign we refer to when checking our horoscopes. My astrology teacher taught me that our Sun sign is linked to our identity, and it is what we spend our entire lifetime discovering and becoming ♥
Another point on everyone’s birth chart that I believe is equally as important as our Sun sign is our Moon sign. Our moon sign is linked to our emotions and provides insight into why and what feelings we experience as we journey through all the aspects of our life. Over the years I have definitely heard opinions about astrology being too esoteric and woo-woo for some, and that’s ok; this is not a blog to convince someone to subscribe to Astrological practices. Many internet sites will state that astrology is a pseudoscience… meaning it is a system of theories, assumptions, and methods erroneously regarded as scientific. A part of me may even agree with this allegation because to me, the fact that Astrology is NOT an exact science is precisely why I love it!!
To me a birth-chart is deeply personal as it showcases strengths, opportunities for growth and experience possibilities for the individual to explore through the lens of their own interests, ideologies and perspectives. A person’s birth chart is uniquely personal, like fingerprints a birth chart is exclusive to each individual. Just like identical twins may have similar but not identical fingerprints, so too will birth charts differ for each person, including twins!
So how do astrological signs correlate with the physical body??
Well, even though modern-day astrology is most often associated with personality traits, relationship compatibility, and life purpose, ancient astrologers also determined that each zodiac sign affected specific parts of the body! This ancient knowledge has roots in medical astrology, a system once used by healers and physicians to understand how the stars influence physical health and well-being.
So let’s dive into some correlations between Astrological signs and your AMAZING body…
Aries ~ The Head & Face
(March 21 to April 19)
♈ Aries rules the head, brain, and face.
♈ Someone with a lot of Aries in their birth chart may be prone to headaches, migraines, sinus issues, or facial breakouts… especially when under stress.
♈ Aries energy is extremely good as intensely focusing on goals.
Body tip:
🧡 Regular (even daily) physical activity like jogging, swimming, or vinyasa yoga

♉ As lovers of comfort and pleasure, Taurus folks thrive with routines that blend self-care and sensuality.

🧡 Support your throat with warm teas and voice-friendly habits like singing
🧡 Breathwork, bare feet in grass and slow methodic movement, like Yin or restorative yoga will support your body immensely.
Gemini ~ The Arms, Hands, Lungs & Nervous System
(May 21 to June 20)
♊ Gemini rules the shoulders, arms, hands, and lungs.
♊ This air sign may experience respiratory issues or tension in the upper limbs from stress.
♊ Prone to cortisol overload in the body due to Gemini’s abundant of nervous energy causing the body to feel highly stressed.
Body tip:
🧡 Stretching, mindful breathing, and regular movement like dancing HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts or circuit training to stay focused.

Cancer ~ The Chest, Stomach & Lymphatic System

♌ Focusing on cardiovascular health is especially important for Leo energy.
Body tip:
🧡 Plan weekly group fitness, cardio workouts, heart opening-yoga, or meditation classes.
🧡 Splurge on a spa day with friends a few times a year.
Virgo ~ The Digestive System
(August 23 to September 22)
♍ Virgo is associated with the intestines and digestion.
♍ This earthy sign can be highly attuned to what they eat, and may struggle with nervous digestion or food sensitivities.
♍ Virgorian energy thrives with structure and routine.
Body tip:

Libra ~ The Kidneys, Skin & Lower Back

♓ These dreamy souls absorb energy easily, sometimes carrying emotional weight in their bodies.
♓ Swollen feet or a sluggish lymphatic system may be signs they need rest and release.
Body tip:

A Holistic Invitation
Astrology reminds us that we are cosmic beings living in physical bodies and offers us clues about our body’s needs and rhythms. When we honor our physical nature, we move through life with more ease, awareness, and vitality.
As I have studied and reflected on my own birth-chart time and time again, astrology keeps giving me permission to be kinder to myself, helping me understand my strengths and opportunities all the while showing me how to more fully accept myself as I am… not as I think I should be ♥
