Hold Your Vision!

Hold Your Vision!

As I sit at my keyboard contemplating what to write for this week's blog… I realize that I want it to be a continuation of Debbi’s blog from last week. (If you missed reading it… click HERE)

She did such a great job of describing the dedication that is required to complete a big project like our newly published Functional Healing Workbook. She was also very kind in the way she described how we collaborated on it together, and came to the understanding that everyone has different learning styles and that the workbook would be of value in incorporating all types of learners, along with the videos in the course.

Now… I would like to give you my version of the workbook journey!

I flat out did not want to do it!

I was so caught up in the scripting, shooting and editing of the video content that the thought of adding a workbook to this already mammoth project regularly pushed me over the cliff into the valley of complete overwhelm!

I seriously remember three separate Monday morning meetings where I gathered my resolve, just before we started, because I was about to tell Deb that the workbook had to go!

In her calm, steady, kind way Debbi refused to let it go… she had a vision and she was holding onto it!

Liesl is far more reasonable than I am and could see the value of the workbook well before I was able to. So, on three separate Mondays… the workbook survived another bout of my personal feelings of overwhelm!

The other piece of this… I trust Deb! She has such a keen sense of intuition and has an amazing history of great outcomes from listening to her internal guidance.

I am so, so, so grateful that Debbi trusted herself enough to hold her vision… because she held it without fully knowing how impactful it would become.

Let me give you a little glimpse into what this workbook now means to our entire project:

  1. It covers modules one to four of ‘Our Online Functional Healing Course.’ This includes how our healing method works, the basics… how to walk, climb stairs, lift, bend, & change levels and lastly, includes insights into all of the holistic tools and techniques that we use to help people heal. In short, all of the basics needed to heal your own body and at a price point that allows for all walks of life to be included!

  2. Module five, of the video course, then splits off into body parts… neck, upper back & shoulders, armchain, hips & low back, knees and ankles & feet. We take a deep dive into each of these body parts and incorporate all of the information from the previous modules into healing protocols. Now that we have the workbook we are able to subdivide our big course into smaller ones. For example… we can launch a course just for knee pain or just for hip & low back pain and include a digital copy of the workbook… so that customers can learn the basics required for healing. Impossible to do without the workbook!

  3. Another example… each of the body parts has a silicone cupping pattern included… so we can now group all of those cupping videos together and launch a Full Body Silicone Cupping Course, again including a digital copy of the workbook to make sure our customers understand the basic healing principals.

  4. One last example… We are currently designing workshop packages so that we can go out and speak to the world about these healing methods. Guess what? Our biggest, four session package will include the workbook… so that participants will have ongoing access to all of the information presented.

Now… I am pretty sure that even more uses for the workbook will arise as we settle into the marketing of this project!

The moral of this story… HOLD YOUR VISION!

It is an act of bravery to hold your vision in the face of others around you trying to talk you out of… moving to a new city, changing jobs, starting a project, trying a new recipe, or building a workbook.

If Debbi would have been swayed by me on the days when I was in a state of overwhelm (most definitely in the frequency of the problem), we would not have this beautiful 192 page workbook that has allowed for incredible diversification of our project, as well as making it more accessible to all people.

One last note… I have always dreamed of being a published author… how very lucky am I that I did not have to hold that vision all by myself!

Love,
