Our Workbook is Published!!
There is a tender, vulnerable moment that happens in the middle of creating something meaningful.
Not at the beginning, when the idea feels shiny and inspired.
Not at the end, when you can finally hold the finished thing in your hands and say… we did it.
It’s that place in the messy middle… where the excitement has worn off, the details feel endless and the doubts about the relevance of the project get louder…
Why am I pushing for this?
Does this even matter?
Is this really going to be as awesome as I keep telling myself?
Am I actually just creating this for myself??
I know these doubts well… and I also know the soft unwavering whisper beneath these doubts… the one that says…
Keep going, don’t stop now.
Well, this is what we did! 🤩🎉 Us Breath Connection Gals have published our Functional Healing Workbook, and it is now available on Amazon!! This workbook details the entire content of Module 1-4 of our Functional Healing online course! This workbook can be used as a stand-alone reference or as a published companion for the course.
I am deeply proud of our accomplishment… AND… I also want to be honest about what it took to get here…
I remember when I first mentioned to Marnie and Liesl that I would like to create a Functional Healing workbook. I imagined this workbook to be a written reference book that would compliment our online course.
I love to journal, so I pitched this project to the girls as something that could contain the written format of the first 4 modules of our course with journal prompts and sections for reflection throughout the workbook.
My amazing business partners humored me and went along with my desire for this workbook. I raced ahead, took some creative liberties and prepared a show-and-tell presentation for one of our weekly Monday meetings to share my workbook plan.
This workbook, like our online course, was not created in one perfect, inspired, uninterrupted flow.
I remember one conversation where we were discussing the format of the book and whether we needed as many journalling prompts and reflection sections in the workbook?? Through honest conversations and much laughter, we realized that each of us had a very different idea about how much room for journalling was necessary in our workbook – haha.
Our conversation on this day found us wholeheartedly embracing our differences… recognizing that not only the three of us, but everyone absorbs, digests and retains information very differently. And yet our differences are as important as our similarities!
Marnie, Liesl and I frequently discuss the beauty and importance of being ‘different’…. different learning styles, different interests, different personalities, different interests… and so on. We fully adopt the concept that different is not a state where one way is right and the other is wrong, it is simply:
Not right, not wrong, just different 🧡
I am so grateful for my business partners and what we have created so far with our Functional Healing course and now having published our workbook!
This Workbook, like everything we have created so far, has been created through conversations, pauses, edits, doubts, decisions to delete parts and then decisions to add these parts back in.
There were times along the way when we wondered if we should continue. The project felt big, unclear, and too much at times. There were many moments when it would have been so much easier to stop.
Through this process I have realized for myself that finishing what I start, sometimes requires more than discipline… it asks for dedication:
dedication to the original spark
dedication to the people who may one day need what is being created
dedication to the knowing that our work has value, even when overwhelm tries to convince otherwise
dedication to observing heartfelt desires instead of running from them
Creating something meaningful, like this workbook, has brought up all the old stories about worthiness, visibility, perfection, and impact for me.
It has stirred the part of me that wants proof before proceeding. Proof that it will work. Proof that people will care. Proof that it was done “right.” Proof that it will actually have impact.
And yet, impact does not always announce itself. Often impact begins quietly and in private…
for the person who opens a workbook and feels understood and supported in a new way
in the breath someone takes after reading a prompt that helps them soften
in the moment someone realizes they are allowed to observe themselves with compassion instead of criticism
in the healing that begins because someone see themselves differently and shifts from the frequency of the problem into the frequency of the solution
I am so proud of us gals here at The Breath Connection… I am proud of the honest conversations, the continued perseverance, and the willingness the 3 of us had to keep showing up without truly knowing the outcome.
If you have been sitting with something unfinished - a project, a dream, a conversation, a new beginning - maybe this is your gentle nudge 🧡
You do not have to know every step before you take the next one
You do not have to feel confident to continue
You do not have to be free of doubt to create something meaningful
Sometimes you simply have to breathe, observe, and keep moving toward the thing your heart knows is important to you.
Our Functional Healing Workbookis available on Amazon. May it support you to reconnect with yourself, your healing, and the quiet wisdom that has always lived within you 🧡
Much Love,
